1) Organic D-A Type
① Consist of organic matter that shows characteristics of Electron donor(D, Hole acceptor),
Electron acceptor(A).
② Electron and hole(exciton), generated by receiving sunlight, creates electric current when it transfers
③ It is difficult to form thick high molecule layer and efficiency is low because of short movement
distance of Exciton(10nm)
2) Dye-sensitized Type
① Uses n- type nanoparticle semiconductor oxide electrode that dye particle is absorbed on the surface
② Generates electron and electron hole when sunlight is absorbed in semiconductor oxide electrode
③ Electron transfers to transparent conductivity layer through the interface between particles and
generates electric current
④ Generated electron hole in dye particle is restored when receiving electron due to oxide reduction
